This will be an intensive 3-hour class and training presentation specifically on how to integrate blogging into your daily business life. You will learn what a blog should be, & what it shouldn’t. Specific instruction on what you should blog about, how to get readers to your blog & how to turn that into additional business for your company.

Who should attend: An individual who has an existing web site and would like to learn more about cross-promotion on the web. Attendee may have already launched their first blog and want to enhance it or is contemplated their first blog. About session content: Since the mid-90’s, it has become a webcentric world. It has become exceedingly difficult to stay above the crowd of competitors’ web sites. Creating and maintaining a business blog is one way to continually communicate and promote your website and business, without constant dependence on a webmaster. Some of the key takeaways include:

Part 1 – What a blog can do for your business.

  • Understanding the similarities and differences between a blog and a website.
  • Who reads your blog and writing for the reader. • How to use a blog for cross promoting your business and other people’s businesses.
  • Why ‘RSS Feed’ is one of the most important new terms you need to know, now, and the future of web marketing.
  • Results: What to expect and when to expect them.
  • What you should do before you launch a blog.

Part 2 – Demonstrating the process of installing blogging software, plug-in software, and writing actual posts.

  • Demonstrating basic Wordpress blog platform setup
  • Showing theme templates for Wordpress, including their installation and switching between themes.
  • Demonstrating installation of plug-in software options and their use.
  • Writing a sample post including uploading and resizing of images.
  • Demonstrating how to optimize a post for search engines.
  • Many more hands-on tips.

Andy Ebon is no stranger to the mobile DJ entertainment industry. While living in San Francisco, he launched and operated two highly successful mobile DJ services. Music Man: in 1977. then Designer Music in 1986.

His work with Designer Music earned him the distinction of San Francisco Small Business Owner of the Year. He retired from active DJ work in 1996 after 25 years in the industry.

Through the decades Andy has been a leader in Disc Jockey, Hospitality and Wedding Industries, providing leadership and innovation among various associations. Currently, he publishes The Wedding Marketing Blog, speaks on Marketing, New Social Media and Motivational topics at local, regional, and national conferences.

Andy is a co-author of “The Power of the Platform: Speakers on Success” featuring his chapter, Blogging Your Way To Business Success.
