Brian Harris is a full time wedding entertainer who started his business in 1997, immediately attaining a reputation as a classy and competent performer. He’s been a drummer for nearly all of his life, and is able to incorporate rhythmic knowledge into his mixing talents. He will be sharing with everyone, in his beat mixing presentation: how to count your beats, understanding note values, resulting in being creative with your mixes, as well as understanding different style of beats, and how to mix them together. He will also be sharing some secrets that make beat mixing a challenge, yet fun!
He currently commands anywhere from $1600 to $2500 per wedding, and much of his business comes from vendor and past client referrals. This Dayton OH native is married and has 2 children that keep him busy in between all the DJ biz! Brian also serves as Vice President of his local ADJA Chapter, and has been in Toastmasters for 3 years, honing his speaking skills.

Mixing For The Pop Music Professional picks up where beat-matching leaves off, with a particular emphasis on Harmonic Mixing and Programming. Techniques discussed will include how to determine the key signature of a song, how the key signatures interrelate, how to “fix” dissonance in your mixes and how to utilize harmonics in new ways to make your mixes sound better than ever! Additional topics include Phrase Recognition, Overlays, Cut-Mixing and Narrative Mixing. To top it off, Adrian will reveal his most powerful mixing and programming tool and describe in detail how you can make one too!
Adrian Cavlan: As a twelve-time reader’s poll winner of the “Best DJ” awards in both Metro and Good Times magazines, Adrian Cavlan is one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s premiere DJs and MCs.
Adrian is the in-game DJ and music producer for the San Francisco 49ers, and his remixes and productions have been featured in Major League Baseball’s World Series, the NFL’s Pro Bowl All Star game, and can regularly be heard at all San Jose Sharks home games. He has also shared the stage with Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Evelyn “Champagne” King, The Tom Tom Club and comedian Sinbad, among others, and has been an on-stage MC at the Monterey Jazz festival since 2000.
Adrian has been a DJ since 1989 and is one of the owners of Sound In Motion DJ’s & Video, a multi-system company that serves the Greater Bay Area and has earned a reputation throughout the event industry as a top-tier provider.

Jim reveals the secrets to a great cocktail set. Some simply plop on any on jazz cd & call it good. Jim teaches you how to make your cocktail & dinner set prep the crowd for a great time.
Born in the Chicago area, Jim Cerone has been a DJ since 1980. His first gig was spinnin’ tunes for a twilight golf outing as his parent’s country club (he used his home stereo – bottomfeeder!). Jim honed his skills at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana; doing fraternity and sorority parties. By some miracle, Jim managed to graduate in 1986 and has been serving Central Indiana ever since. Now living in Indianapolis with his family, Jim is a single operator specializing in wedding receptions.
Jim’s parents, Kathi and Jim Cerone continue to host fabulous parties every chance they get. Jim learned from them the art of being the perfect host.
